100 Wells Concert
It's time to catch up with some blog posts, I have been slacking in this area recently.
This October we had a group of our youth travel to Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, NC to attend the 100 Wells Concert. As one of over 100 stops in the 100 Wells Tour, Lutheran Artists who performed at the 2012 ELCA Youth Gathering in New Orleans put on a fun and interactive concert for youth groups across the state of NC! The goal of the 100 Wells Tour was to raise awareness about those in the world who do not have access to clean drinking water. They challenged the youth that night to see if they could donate $2500 on their way to their overall goal of raising $750,000 that will build 300 wells around the world in areas that need it. The youth from NC that night donated over $4000! In total over $545,000 has been raised to date - all donated by youth! While at Lenoir-Rhyne we also the opportunity to take a brief tour of the campus! Below are some pictures from our time there!
